Richa Okhandiar-MacDougall

Trainer

Richa is an Arts Therapist, Community Artist and Facilitator with a background of working in anti-racist and intersectional feminist spaces. They are currently working in support of  children and young people who are survivors of sexual harm. Their research and community art interests focus on anti-colonial and anti-oppressive forms of therapy, examining and exploring how white supremacy has shaped norms in therapeutic spaces and building alternative systems of care in the joy of communal support. Richa is informed by their artistic practice, intersectional and queer explorations of what it means to be human and how that connects us communally to art, the land and each other. They are interested in challenging the bio-medical model of mental health support and creating a world based on care, solidarity and mutual support.
