Practitioner Events

BAATN offers learning and healing spaces for therapist and others in the helping professions. These events aim to support, connect and inspire therapy practitioners in their roles as caring professionals. Through being in connection rather than isolation, there can be a liberation of collective energy to pursue individual ideals in a racialised world.

Open Practitioner Events provide professional skills development for therapy professionals, students and others in the helping professions of all heritages.

BAATN Practitioner Events are for therapy professionals, students and others in the helping professions who are of African, South Asian or Caribbean heritage. These events aim to provide a space to tell our stories, clarify our dilemmas and be met with enthusiasm, dialogue and support.

Public Events

Public Events are for the general public. They aim to promote wellbeing, inspiration and healing on a personal level. These events focus on you as an individual, your relationship with yourself and your relationship to those you live and work with. These events support us to stay connected to what is important to us in our personal and collective lives.

Open Public Events are open to members of the general public of all heritages. These events aim to promote connection, inspiration and healing.

Closed Public Events are for members of the general public who are of African, South Asian or Caribbean heritage for connection, inspiration and healing.

The primary focus of these events is to support people from the heritages above; however, they are also open to other People of Colour who are affected by prejudice due to the colour of their skin and global white power.

The Facilitators

Facilitators of events and gatherings are qualified psychotherapists, counsellors or psychologists who have signed up to BAATN’s Core Values statement.

Open Practitioner Events provide professional skills development for therapy professionals, students and others in the helping professions of all heritages.
