Open Practitioners Event

Class and Psychotherapy

Outline

This workshop will focus on our Class identity. We will discuss the definitions of Class and how it impacts our environment and identity. We will explore Class differences and stereotypes and biases attached to different Class identities. We will further look at Class privilege and marginalization. Finally ending with the Class Identity and its impact on mental health and access to mental health. This workshop would be experiential, and the group will engage in self-reflection and exploratory work. Please make sure you are in a safe place where you can have your camera on and are able to participate in discussions and break out rooms.

  • Knowledge and awareness of Class identity and differences
  • Class privilege and marginalization
  • Impact of Class on mental health and access to Mental Health

Who should attend this event

Students, Counsellors, therapists, mental health professionals, helping professionals and supervisors, of all cultural/ethnic heritages.
