Mary-Claire Wilson
Mary-Claire Wilson – UKCP Reg, MBACP, Dip Couns, Ad. Dip/MA Psychotherapy
Mary-Claire Wilson works in private practice as an Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapist and Supervisor. She’s lectured and now teaches and facilitates groups at various Integrative counselling and psychotherapy training institutes, including delivering modules on Race and Power and LGBTQ+ inclusion
She’s informed by a range of therapeutic orientations, including humanistic, psychodynamic, attachment-based, body-oriented, transpersonal and relational theories. Her transpersonal approach means that she uses dreams, imagery, archetypes, poems, stories, drawings, creative writing, movement, visualisations and rituals to deeply access right-brain feeling states. Her relational approach means that she explores with authentic empathy, curiosity, humility and humanity.
Both as a therapist and facilitator, she works explicitly with marginalisation and oppression wherever it occurs. She’s previously run workshops on the effects of enslavement, colonisation and post-colonisation in creating a multi-heritage population, and on the ecological impact of the Global North on the indigenous Global South.
