Jen Mak
Jen is a person-centred counsellor and works mainly online with clients privately as well as insurance referrals. She often uses the perspectives of loss and individual parts to support clients through grief and anxiety.
In previous roles she has worked in project coordination and wellbeing for employees and students, and also has a Masters in Health Psychology. She appreciates the influence of wider factors on an individual’s wellbeing as well as the difficulties in changing habits.
Jen is also currently providing a therapy service for EVR (End Violence and Racism Against ESEA Communities), for support workers dealing with issues such as racism, hate, migration, and related challenges.
Born in Manchester to parents who emigrated from Hong Kong, Jen understands the daily external and internal challenges of integrating different worlds.
