Nadine Wilson

MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy

Nadine’s journey in to the healing professions started in social work. Having been trained by Family and Systemic Therapists’, at the University of Hull; she carved her career very early on by drawing on her personal therapy experience and bringing therapeutic principles and trainings to the core of her practice. With deep empathy and compassion, she understood some of the complexities of being human, the stresses and transitions of life, and the trauma of abuse within families. She bore witness to some of the obstacles these brought to the relationship with the self and others; for each person, she was privileged to work with. Having lived and worked in London, the south east and the north of England for the former part of her career; Nadine returned to her home city of Birmingham to complete her MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy.

Nadine has since held an honorary contract with the NHS Healthy Gay Lives (Umbrella) as an Associate Psychotherapist. She has worked for counselling services in North Warwickshire and Birmingham, and established a private psychotherapy practice in the Midlands. She is a UKCP accredited Psychotherapist, and UPCA registered Clinical Psychotherapist. She is the Founding Director of Sunflower Psychotherapy, and an Associate Psychotherapist at Birmingham Counselling Service. She has given tips on coping with anxiety and depression on the Quintessential Voices podcast – celebrating women of colour. In addition to being on the Psychologies Magazine Life Labs UKCP Therapist Channel. Nadine is a spiritual person who loves meditation, yoga, and being in natural spaces. She likes creative recipes with plant-based food, and enjoys the mysticism of astrology and other forms of early psychology. She is interested in you, in your wholeness, whatever that may bring! This is reflected in the integration of Gestalt therapy in her practice.
