Job Title: Psychoeducation Lead – Workshops and Facilitation Team

Days per week: 5 days per week

Contractual Terms: PAYE

Salary: £48,000

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a class act, dynamic, confident human with a brilliant knowledge of mental health, to help continue to shape the current and future education and development service. We want passionate and innovative individuals who can hold a good conversation with partners, workshop attendees and facilitators. This is a role for someone who wants to be at the forefront of developing innovative services for people. Taking the concepts of Psychotherapy into the workplace in creative and wonderful ways. A willingness to be innovative and to think outside the box when it comes to content, delivery and creation are incredibly welcome here.

The successful candidate will have solid experience in both writing, developing and delivering workshops/talks/training in the mental health space. They will be responsible for developing and delivering workshops and training spaces grounded in psychotherapy and psychoeducation. Upholding beautiful and human relationships with our partners to ensure their needs are heard, held and communicated within delivery.

Managing the facilitation team ensuring they have adequate support, information and guidance to facilitate to the best of their ability.  Training staff to support delivery, and evaluating and growing our psychoeducation offering. The role also requires organizing and administration involved with the management of all workshops/talks/groups being delivered by us. Two way communication to all areas of the business needed. Including working with the therapeutic team to make sure we are best serving the needs of the client. Implementing new systems to support growth where needed in relation to this sector of the business.

This is a role that calls for autonomy and ownership and has a lot of potential for scope. We’re looking for someone who is able to foster growing and meaningful relationships with our psychoeducational partners and our delivery team, deliver outstanding workshops and work alongside the Psychoeducation Manager and Psychoeducation Leads across all areas of the department.


Working remotely/central london with some occasional travel expected.


Core job role:

  • To facilitate meaningful, human connection both in the workplace for employees and C Suite Managers and COO’s
  • To lead on the ongoing delivery of Self Space talks, workshops, training, groups for existing and new partners.
  • To grow our education content outwards to meet need in line with the Self Space Ethos
  • To hold empathetic and inquisitive conversations with partners to gain a good understanding of their individual challenges and desired outcomes for workshops
  • To support facilitators in their preparation for workshops and supporting with their delivery style, knowledge and confidence
  • To continue to monitor, update and innovate around the workshops content regularly
  • To work with the Psychoeducation Manager and Psychoeducation Leads to develop, deliver and support with content and growing offerings
  • To effectively meet demand and ensure good flow and communication across the business
  • To effectively manage the freelance facilitation team including personal development, reviews and onboarding
  • Ensuring the continued and robust evaluation system for workshops and B2B offerings

Interviews will happen on the 4th and 5th June in person

Person Specification 

  • Minimum 3 years as a practicing therapist
  • Proven experience in a coordination role
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Confident in representing Self Space in all areas of its work
  • Experience of psychoeducation delivery and evaluation
  • Experience of using Group work skills
  • Experience of facilitating group therapy or process groups
  • Experience of developing psychoeducation content and exercises
  • Experience of managing or supporting a team
