Royal College of Art ‘Associate Counsellor’

The Royal College of Art welcomes applications from counsellors to complement our existing student support provision. This is a unpaid post, offered at 0.2 FTE.
The Royal College of Art has committed to becoming an anti-racist institution. We aim to offer our students the option to access culturally sensitive welfare support that understands and acknowledges the impact of race and the distinct experiences of racism our students may have encountered. We are keen to hear from individuals from African and Caribbean backgrounds to join our current counselling team.
Candidates must be qualified / or nearing the final stages of their training, have 100+ client hours and be working towards BACP, UKCP or equivalent accreditation and ideally have experience working with young people in providing short-term counselling (although not essential) and be skilled in working with clients from a range of broad backgrounds.  Students are usually seen face-to-face at our Kensington campus.
