NHS Trusts across the North West

Are you interested in becoming part of a new and exciting expanding workforce of Education Mental Health Practitioners, supporting young people with their emotional wellbeing within school and college settings?

If so, please look out for around 45 Trainee EMHP posts being advertised from now until July across the North-West region, to commence a 1 year full time training programme in September 2024.

These posts are salaried at Band 4 (NHS Agenda for Change) during the training year, with trainees progressing to Band 5 following qualification.

Trainees will spend Monday to Wednesday working within Mental Health Support Teams within school settings. Thursdays and Fridays will be spent at teaching in North Manchester (with some remote teaching days).

We value diversity and warmly welcome applications from all candidates, regardless of their background or protected characteristics.  We particularly encourage individuals from Black, Asian, and other minority ethnic backgrounds, individuals with disabilities and men to apply, as we have had an underrepresentation of trainees from these groups within our previous cohorts.

Although this is a post-graduate level training programme, you do not need to have an undergraduate degree to apply.

Posts are being advertised now on NHS jobs and other websites across the region.

Please see our course homepage for further information and how to apply!
