GRADE: NHS Band 6 equivalent (£32,029 – £33,930.87 p/a)
LOCATION: Hertfordshire / Cambridgeshire / Peterborough (to be discussed at interview)
HOURS: Full time (37 hours a week plus independent study)
CONTRACT: 1 year fixed term contract, January 2025 – December 2025
About the Role:
This postgraduate diploma (IPT-A route) will equip you with the knowledge and skills required to assess and treat young people between 13-24 with depression, using structured and evidence-based approaches.
Your confidence and competence as a therapist will increase as you learn how to use IPT-A for adolescents with depression. You will also learn about Family Based IPT (FB IPT) for pre-adolescents with depression and IPT-A skills training groups (IPT-AST) for young people at risk of becoming depressed.
Training Information
This full-time training will begin in January 2025 with around 2.5 days a week for academic work (teaching and personal study), and 2.5 days based at the service seeing clients related to training assignments. Trainees will be both an employee of the service and an enrolled student with UCL/Anna Freud. Upon completion, qualified trainees will receive a UCL Postgraduate Diploma.
