The Metanoia Institute offers a range of taught psychotherapy and counselling programmes. The Institute wishes to appoint a Senior Academic Lecturer who can contribute to teaching on our undergraduate and post-graduate programmes.  Ideally qualified in either Integrative counselling/psychotherapy, with a strong background in teaching and a passion for the development of students, you will join a well-established organisation in a senior academic position.

In particular, we are looking for an individual who is able to take on the role of primary tutor to a year group. You will make a substantial contribution to teaching, administrative and training activities on this Programme and take an active part in providing high quality training in counselling and psychotherapy.

The person appointed must be professionally accredited psychotherapist and/or counsellor and be experienced in your field. You will be expected to contribute to the delivery of high- quality educational experiences for all students and to have a thorough knowledge of theory, curriculum development, and quality assurance procedures. A record of conference presentations and publication or evidence of the potential to develop in this area is essential. You will have a Post-graduate qualification in Counselling/Psychotherapy or Counselling Psychology and be registered with the relevant professional body (BACP, UKCP or BPS and HCPC). Candidates should have experience in providing Counselling and Psychotherapy services and in supervising practice. Ideally applicants will have Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) or relevant teaching experience.
