Cardiff University’s Disability and Dyslexia Service is seeking to appoint 2 additional Mental Health Mentors to create and implement individualised programmes of support for students with mental health difficulties. To assist students in developing strategies which enable participation in their studies and in the management of mental health difficulties as well as assessing the effectiveness of the programme on the student’s university experience and management of mental health difficulties. You will working with the Disability Advisers and Mental Health Advisers, carrying out supporting work, providing advice, guidance and support.

You must be educated to degree level and hold current membership with a recognised Professional Body e.g. NMC, BACP, HCPC, UKCP, SSSC/CC Wales. Experience of working with clients in mental health support is required. You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the key advances within mental health support in Higher Education.
