Eugene Ellis
Eugene Ellis is an Integrative Arts Psychotherapist and the founder of ‘Black and Asian Therapists Network’. The BAAT Network is a network of therapists that seeks to reflect the many who are committed, passionate and actively engaged in addressing, the psychological needs of Black and Asian people in Britain. He has worked for many years as a child, adult and family therapist and currently works for Family Futures as well as working in private practice. Eugene has a special interest in facilitating a dialogue around race and culture in organisations and psychotherapy trainings.
Dena Mosco
Ms Mosco is originally from America but now considers the United Kingdom her home. She has been in private practice in London for a number of years and is a fully Qualified Counsellor with an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling. She has additional certificates in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Working with Survivors of Sexual Abuse and is a Qualified Advisor through the Citizens’ Advice Bureaux. In America she studied the Social Sciences comprised of: Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology.
As well as being an Executive Member and Treasurer for Barnet Community Counselling (Registered Charity) she is also a full member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and is en-route to Accreditation.
Cheryl Griffith
Cheryl trained as a psychodynamic psychotherapist and works as a therapist, supervisor and a couples therapist in Surrey and South west London
Poppy Banerjee
Poppy has been a counsellor for the last 16 years and has been trained in Person-Centred/Existential therapies and has substantial experience of working with people from diverse background including Asian girls and women. She is also a trainer, group worker and a qualified clinical supervisor.
Poppy has worked as a manager in mental health services and currently works in FE College as a senior counsellor and group worker 3 days a week and other days in various voluntary and statutory sectors as self- employed sessional counsellor.
She has been instrumental in setting up and developing counselling services specifically for Asian women (mental health, students and domestic violence services, including the counselling services in the East End of London – Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Newham).
In 1995 Poppy has initiated and developed a national forum for Asian counsellors and professionals working in the counselling & mental health field (Asian Mental Health Forum) and facilitated as chair for number of years.
Morica Daley
Morica Daley is a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist (MSc). She initially trained as Counsellor (Psychodynamic), and has been working in private practice as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist for a number of years. Morica also has a wealth of mental health experiences as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, and in recent years has been working within the substance misuse field.
Bhagya Magan
Bhagya Magan who is a UKCP registered Integrative Arts Psychotherapist, has worked for many years with clients from diverse socio-cultural backgrounds. As one of the founder member of ANCHOR - The Counselling Practice in West London, much of her work is with the NHS and PCT patients. She has worked for many years with individual clients with mental health and inter-cultural issues at Newham Asian Women’s Project and Brent MIND, facilitated therapeutic groups, provided training and co-chaired the Diversity and Inclusivity committee at the Institute for Arts.
Robert Sookhan
Robert trained as a person centered psychotherapist in 2005. He is currently involved with developing a counselling service at Newham and is joint head of the counselling service at the university of Greenwich. Robert also has a private practice in Brockley, London.
